I’m a hard worker…I have been my whole life, because nothing’s just been handed to me. I know that’s one of the things my boyfriend loves about me. He’s very driven in his career too. I have my bachelor’s in teaching and I’m working on my Masters in Psychology. I’ve been offered this amazing opportunity through my Grad School to go to Israel to work with under-privileged children. Only three people were chosen and I was honored to be asked. It would be amazing to put on my resume, but my boyfriend is not happy at all. We live together and he’s almost angry that I’m even considering going. He feels like if I go to another country for a year it will delay our lives and we won’t move forward, and no one survives a long distance relationship. He told me, “Choose the trip, OR me.” What? Is that fair? My best friend says she would choose love…
but, this is a once in a lifetime thing. Maybe he’s just saying he’ll break up with me and he won’t! Would you go…I’m so torn!
