One Simple Wish - Nia Vardalos Book Signing
Sunday, June 9, 2013 -- Danielle Gletow of One Simple Wish calls in to the Community Spotlight to talk about a special book signing and cocktail reception with Oscar-nominated writer and actress Nia Vardalos, a foster care adoption advocate and author of "Instant Mom". Vardalos, whose book tells story of her quest to become a mom through the foster care system, will be joining Danielle and One Simple Wish on Monday June 10th from 5pm til 8pm at The Nassau Inn in Princeton. One Simple Wish is a local organization devoted to bringing awareness to the foster care system, by connecting the community to area foster children to help grant their "simple wishes". They are assisted by The Nassau Inn and Monday Morning Flower & Balloon Company to make this special event with Nia Varadalos a free event, but space is limited so Danielle recommends making seat reservations at their website, www.onesimplewish.org/nia.
Books will be available for purchase at the event with a portion of the proceeds going towards One Simple Wish's Wish Granting program which makes wishes come true for foster children throughout the United States. Find out more about One Simple Wish at their website: www.onesimplewish.org

Communiversity Festival of the Arts 2013
Sunday, April 28, 2013 -- Communiversity Festival of the Arts is taking place this year on April 28th in Downtown Princeton. This annual free event, that attracts more than 40,000 visitors each spring, is one of Central New Jersey's most well-known events and is a beloved "Town-Gown" tradition. Jeff Nathanson, Executive Director of the Arts Council of Princeton, joins us to talk about the big day ahead, the history of Communiversity and the relationship with the University in making this day possible, as well as what to expect from the day's events.
